Brioche with bacon and onions
When you feel a smell of freshly baked bread and the crisp attracts you with its beauty, comes a simple children's happiness, like when you buy a hot bread in a booth, and it is just impossible to resist the temptation not to take a bite on the way home.
- 500 g flour
- 5 eggs
- 50 g bacon
- 1 onion
- 40 g fresh yeast
- 125 ml warm milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Preheat the oven to 430º F.
Crumble yeast, add sugar, milk. Stir and leave the dough for 10 minutes.
Chop the bacon finely.
Peel the onion and chop finely.
Fry the bacon lightly, then add onions and fry till it golden.
Add flour to the eggs, salt and yeast with milk. Stir all in food processor.
Add fried onions and bacon, and stir for a few minutes more.
Put the dough in the warm, dry bowl tighten with plastic wrap and put in a warm place for an hour and a half.
Sprinkle work surface with flour, put dough and knead it.
Divide the dough into small balls and arrange on a baking sheet with the distance from each other. Cover with damp towel and let rest for 15-20 minutes, then bake for about 20-30 minutes in the preheated oven.
